This was a fun read. I thoroughly enjoyed it

This was a fun read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were bad guys and good guys and a few in between. The protagonists were smart and effective. Rewards and come uppances were delivered appropriately.
The storytelling was great. The only downside was the sloppy proofreading. I'm looking forward to reading more by this author.

No recourse but to repel

I will give Scott Hansen credit for a decent premise, with our hero accidentally and tragically crossing paths with a mobster bent on revenge. And he has also provided a plot map which would probably earn him low marks from many, but which I've always wanted to find: namely, a plan is put into motion and it works out every step of the way; no set-backs, no crises wondering how we're going to get of this fix now. It just all works out. There's something satisfying in that. Unfortunately, the book suffers from lack of editing. There's periodic repetition of phrases and descriptions. A number of egregious misspellings ("repelling" down the side of a building, someone from "Human Recourses"). And the dialog suffers from a serious lack of contractions (all the characters, and I do mean all, sound like refugees from Damon Runyon (think Guys and Dolls). It is unfortunately, a rather tedious read. It's not a bad book, it just needs serious help.

Fine for an online book

Writing is a little awkward. Poor grammar throughout. One line should have included the word "shirt" but it was missing the letter "r." Very little use of contractions in dialog which I found odd. It was interesting enough for me to keep reading but the main character wasn't that intriguing. I think an editor would have helped.
