When I first started writing Poacher Hunters, it started simply off as having a set of characters head off and battle the poachers in some distant reserve somewhere in Africa. What it became was something far greater. As I researched South Africa and Rio De Janeiro, I gained an insight into regions of the world that were vague images in my head. My first experience of seeing South Africa on the big screen was the sci-fi flick "District 9" which was loosely based in the suburb of Johannesburg called Alexandra. What I found in my research was that while they used aliens in the movie, the xenophobia and social dilemmas of the community were real.With some help from Twitter followers I was able to gain a better view of both regions, including the lore that is represented in this story. So, mixing older familiar characters from my "Gods of Chaos" series with a character from "Azazel" I was able to develop a story that can stand on its own, or work as a part of the greater story. If this is your first time experiencing the Djinn World, worry not, this novel may be read as an individual tale. This supernatural action/adventure has quite a bit of dark humor that I hope my new readers enjoy as much as those who had the pleasure of experiencing before. After all, this story was injected into my head by Narkissos. If the interpretation is wrong, I blame him for the terrible dreams giving me numerous restless nights until finishing the story.

the Tokoloshe is probably one of the best things Jack has come up with

This book surprised a few laughs out of me in some places just because some scenes were so deliciously bizarre! I mean, the Tokoloshe is probably one of the best things Jack has come up with. It was weird, creepy and, I'm sorry, but I laughed at some of the reactions it got. Like Azazel, I like how fluid and fast-moving this book was. We go all over the place in this one, and it makes everything actually more interesting. The scenes in Johannesburg were especially well-written and set a perfect scene.

Poacher Hunters is a great time stealer

If you smile when bad things are done to bad people, you're going to love Poacher Hunters. It picks up where Azazel left off, and if fast-paced, violent, sometimes gruesome and at times a bit tongue in cheek. Fair warning, if you start reading, you're going to have to make room on your schedule, because you're going to keep wanting to get back to it and find out where it's going next. I thoroughly enjoyed poacher hunter. It can stand on its own, but is a great continuation of a Azazel!

Enjoyable read!

Just finished Pocher Hunters last evening. While reading earlier books in this series would be helpful this also works as a stand alone novel.
I've read all of Mr. Thantos books & his writing style just keeps improving. In this novel all the pieces made sense, the dialogue flowed & as with any good novel it leery me eager for more.
Highly recommended
