Stanford Crow is not a superhero so they say! but he is the author and creator of Pet Shop Heroes and Lazy Hero Cat. He has traversed the world several times, but now can usually be found in Brooklyn, NY.
Nancy S. Hemmingson is a teacher and artist in Mt. Pleasant, MI. She is the illustrator for all the Lazy Hero Cat stories.

Kids will love this book.

This book is made up of three separate stories about Bubasis (Bub) the lazy cat. He was too lazy to do anything, even eat. He stumbles around and gets into all sorts of situations that he does absolutely nothing to try and get out of, in fact, he does not even realize he is in any danger at all. Through his bumbling laziness, he always seems to come out on top. I think children will really like this book as it is silly and looking for the scarebs will make you really look at the illustrations. The illustrations are like paintings, a little abstract and very colourful. The thing I did not like about this book as an adult, is that it seems Bub is a hero for being lazy which is not what I would want to teach children.

Excellent fun!

A fantastic book that has four tales of a very lazy cat. However Bubastis, the lazy cat always end up on top! Watch the kids search for the four blue scarabs as you read the story to them. It's great entertainment!
A fun book to read regardless of your age! The illustrations are excellent.

Cute book for cat lovers

Bubastis or Bub is a lazy cat... a very lazy cat who always seems to do exactly what needs doing accidentally, of course. In this set of three stories, illustrated with cute pictures, you learned to fall in love with Bub and his shenanigans.
This was a cute book designed for 3rd to 4th graders. My nine year old had little trouble reading it and thought it was fun. He loved his adventure with the dragon.
If you like cats or just need a fun book to read with your kids, don't pass this one up.
