The Ancient Castle was originally written just for my kids about 15 years ago. I wanted to create a fun, clean story where my kids could sit down in our living room and go on an adventure. About a year ago, one of my kids started encouraging me to publish the book and so I did.

But when he unexpectedly runs into a mysterious girl, he finds himself in a world where the myths and legends of his world are the realities of her world. An excellent book for anyone who loves adventure.

I am fairly picky with books, but I have to say that I immensely enjoyed this novel. I am quite excited to read the rest of the books. Overall the book seemed like the perfect blend of three great authors: Brandon Mull, Orson Scott Card, and J.K. Rowling. I don't want to give spoilers and go into depth of why, but when you read this book (and really, you must!) I think you'll clearly see the connections. Characters are well developed. The book starts just a touch slow, but once it gets going I couldn't put it down. Read it in less than two days (thank goodness for Christmas break!) Now we need book 2 already!!!

My 5th grade brother I both really liked this book

I am in 8th grade. My 5th grade brother I both really liked this book. The book has plenty of plot twists and surprises. I couldn't stop reading, so I stayed up until 2am to finish it. It is a great read for those interested in fantasy books. If you liked Fablehaven or Beyonders, I think you will like this book. Highly recommended.

Great read for all ages!

This book was a perfect blend of adventure, magic and fun. I think people of any age would enjoy this book. I liked that it was clean, and I could recommend it to younger readers, too. I hope the word gets out, and that the next book in the series comes out soon! The story has many twists and turns to keep you happily engrossed!
