Chambers

This book grabbed me from the second page. I am 63 years but I have a long history of marshal arts, so I could relate. While I have not ever time traveled, I have always wanted to. I am told that Sarah is going to write 4 more to go with this one...I am sure once they have read this one, people will be anxiously awaiting the next! This is a good read and I recommend it to anyone. Can't wait to see the movie!!!

A good book for all ages

I'm 13 and read one to two books a week. I think Chambers is one of the most unique books I've read in a long time. What other books do you know that have time travel, spirits, history, zombies, telepathy, and martial arts? I can't think of any. Plus, even though there was lots of historical fiction, the plot stayed interesting because of the nonstop action.
I thought it was cool when several characters or inanimate objects were brought to life using an orb or some other unusual thing. One character, Cage could beat up more than 10 of the emperors guards and hardly even get hurt. Even though this wasn't realistic, it made sense in the story. I think the author did a really good job of mixing reality with fantasy.
My favorite character was the Emperor because he seemed like he was the only person that wasn't either really mean or too good.
I would recommend this book to readers who like adventure and history and want to read a book that will keep their attention all the way through.

Chambers is Pure Entertainment

Chambers is imaginative, bold, and engaging. Great storytelling with a hero I could relate to and an eternal struggle against great evil. This is an excellent setup for what should be a great series. I highly recommend this book!
Without revealing any spoilers, the Orb is a fantastic literary MacGuffin; the power it conveys is both overwhelming and appealing. Knowing some of what it can do from this book really drives speculation of what will happen in future tomes. Personally, I can't wait.
Chambers is rich in characters and scenery. The fight descriptions are so intricate; it is as if they were written to the beat of the beatings being described. Good stuff.
This is going to make an amazing movie franchise. It is an easy read though the plot is magnificent and complex. It deserves multiple reads. Watch for future installments!
