The last book of an amazing trilogy!

Revelation of the Sands is the last of a trilogy, and it ends as fantastically as it began.
My love for ancient Egypt added to my excitement as I read page after page, trying to savor each event that started in Secrets in the Sands, the first of the trilogy.
Our primary characters, Alexandria Logan and Mitch Carver return, as well as their two friends, Jack and Bob.
They are going for their doctorates and have a horrid prof heading their dig site near Giza.
Alex trips over a box that was well into the sands--ancient and fascinating. Alex and Mitch hide this find from the prof and with the help of Jack and Bob, the forensics part of the group, they discover the box with ancient scrolls, housed in tubes topped with stoppers of an unknown alloy.
They feel the power of the box and its contents. It's power is beyond anything ever imagined by an ancient culture.
Alex and Mitch, through the scrolls, discover the Kierani, an ancient Egyptian culture, about 12,000 yrs ago. They see the object of power is called a Pharum, and there is also a Sun Disk made of the same unknown alloy.
The young people get their doctorates, but their prof tries to stop any way they can dig in Egypt. He is thwarted by a Dr. Kadesh and his son, Khamir. As a matter of fact, they have opened the way with excavation permits!
The story switches from ancient times, with the Kierani and their king and queen, Traeus and Axianna, along with their twins Anjia and Tramen.
Traeus and his scientific groups have created The Pharum, an object that is to be used for the good of mankind; however, misused, is a force of great destruction.
It is amazing how Ms. Aren tells the stories of ancient and present plots seamlessly showing us the big picture of a beautiful, peaceful people, who have people wanting power, but not fully understanding it, and the young people unfolding the story and discovering it's amazing sophistication, and the present as the Egyptologists help unveil this story.
There are setbacks, with people who want to stop Alex and Mitch, but the Egyptologists slowly release the whole picture of the Pharum and the Sun Disc.
It is an exciting book that could be a stand alone book to read, but I went back and reread the two previous books and they were as excellent as this last jewel.
Beautifully written, you feel you are there with the characters, past and present. You care for them and what this device truly means.
Rai Aren brings Ancient Egypt to life and transports us the reader through every amazing part of this book.
The Revelation of the Sands is a book you hate to see end, yet you are excited for the characters and events.
An excellent book (series) from an excellent knowledgeable author, Rai Aren.
A must for fans of Ancient Egypt and mystery and fine story telling.
It's a wow.

A Grand Finale to an excellent series!

The conclusion of the Sands series is one I'm sorry to see. I would love to have the series continue on and on. Well written, descriptive, with new perspectives, these books gave me entirely new imaginings of how the pyramids and sphinx might have been used. It caused me to research several places in Egypt in order to see the images of things like the walls of niches in Petra. Ms. Aren has an amazing imaginiation...
I loved this series so much, and can't recommend enough for everyone to read them all.

I am currently finishing this series. I enjoyed it so much I have already purchased City of Gold. I can't wait to see where Rai takes us next. Loved it.
