Great characters

Once Brothers is a well-written book that held my interest. It was mostly dark and sad until the very end. The character development was excellent and the best part of the novel. The characters were strong enough for a sequel. For me, the only negative is the excessive, unrealistic amount of violence and injuries, especially those suffered by the Jacob character. It was still worth reading and a book I'll remember.
